Description

“Standard” Later Version Tub Shower Stem Version II
This is the second version of the “Re-Nu” style barrel made by Standard. It came out sometime in the mid-to-late 1930’s and was in use up to the early 1960’s. Normally, this stem would have had metal handles and escutcheons. Overall length is 5 1/2″ (not including barrel), stem shank diameter is 7/16″, and the barrel diameter is 7/8″. This reproduction is made in the US, and features an o-ring built onto the barrel to assist in sealing the stem into the valve body.  If both handles turn the same direction when being opened, you’ll need two hot stems. If handles turn in the opposite direction, you will need one hot and one cold.  Made in the USA

There are re-build kits available for valves that take this stem. They are either #86-AS133 (three handle) or #86-AS132 (two handle).

The diverter stem is #86-701D.

The diverter seat is #86-9090.
