This kit is intended for tub shower sets that use a diverter-type tub spout and can also be used for shower or tub only applications. These were common from the late 1950’s through the 1960’s. This style of stem also goes under the model name of “Aquaseal”.  Threads MUST be sealed for seat to work properly.
