Description
We have had an abundance of “pill” tank toilet tanks kicking around here with practically all of them missing their lids. This is understandable, as the tank is round, and the original lids were made of heavy porcelain. One little slip of the fingers during removal, and the lid was (at best) chipped, and more often broken. We tried making them out of wood, and the results were less than satisfactory. Then, along came 3-D printing!
These lids are a lightweight plastic and are a decent fit for the original lids. We’ve painted them in a close approximation of the original white, it’s close, but not exact. See photo in the gallery of color difference. Note; these tanks were hand-finished back in the 1920’s, so there’s quite a bit of variation in hole size. The hole should be roughly 11 1/2″ wide by 4 3/4″ front to back. There is a small lid pill tank out there, this will not fit that one. We’ve tried to make our lid to be as universal as possible, but it may not fit perfectly.
