Description

Eljer produced the original Pilltank Toilet tanks back in the late 1920’s.  This tank does have the Eljer logo on it, but there’s no date code.  The original flush lever was plated in polished Nickel, so it’s probably earlier in the range of dates.  If it were in the 1930’s, the lever would have been chrome.  This tank measures 20″ in diameter, extends out from the wall 8″, and comes supplied with all internal parts and the hidden tank hanger.

As for condition, the tank suffers from several factory flaws, and a couple that were applied later.  The tank does have some brown staining on the face, it’s under the glaze, and nothing can be done.  Also, there’s several factory Blackspots both on the lid and the tank.  The lid does have a substantial chip on the back of the lid, it’s hidden when the lid is in place.  Also, there’s a scratch on the lid about 1.5″ long.  Check out the photos in the gallery.

Complete original pilltanks have gotten quite rare.  It’s been several years since we’ve had one, and this one will not last long.
