Description
There’s no maker’s mark or date to be found on this sink, but raised ornamentation sinks were fairly common in the late 1880’s through the 1890’s. Unfortunately, this one’s seen better days. The porcelain is original but does suffer from LOTS of wear and chips. Apparently, both of the faucets leaked badly, and the water was on the acidic side as the enamel is severely etched. See a photo of the wear in the gallery. Also, probably due to that pesky acidic water, the overflow has rotted out. Again, see photo in the gallery.
Sink measures 20″ wide by 16″ front to back and is sold AS-IS! Raised ornamentation sinks are extremely rare, while this one is repairable, we’re just out of time to do the work. One the rare occasion we have a good one, they are in the $3000 range.
