Description

Here’s an interesting one!  The only metal parts on this chair are the seat hinges.  The chair itself was assembled using wooden pins, an early method of making furniture.  It looks like there was a seat lid on this chair at one point in time, we can see where one may have mounted.  Judging from the condition of the finish, this has been redone at some point in time.  All we’ve done is wipe it down with a furniture cleaner.  Wood appears to be Pine with the actual seat part Maple.

The chair measures 22″ wide by 24″ front to back.  It stands 32″ tall.

It’s possible that this chair was used over a “hopper” type of toilet, but it’s more likely that it sat over a chamber pot.

Too big for UPS, this’ll have to ship by truck freight.
