Shipping Insurance

We recommend insuring high value orders. Here is the fine print about shipping costs and “insurance.”

USPS

All packages are insured up to $100. Any additional insurance will need to be purchased.
Packages mailed USPS can be insured up to $5,000 of the purchase price to protect against loss or damage (additional insurance).
The recipient may be required to show an acceptable primary ID before USPS will deliver the mail piece.
Please see USPS website for more information.

UPS

UPS provides all packages automatically with $100 worth of liability for loss or damage. A shipper can choose to declare a higher value for the shipment with an additional charge. UPS states that the declared value IS NOT considered insurance.
