Description
Crane Early Widespread Lavy Stem
5 3/4″ overall, 1/2″ diameter stem, always square broach. This stem is used in early Crane pedestal sinks up to about 1925. Same stem used in both hot and cold. Made in the USA. Note, a left handed version did exist, no longer made.
Crane actually used the same valve body casting for both this stem and the #86-101HC stem, they just re-tooled the interior threads. Both have the screw-on escutcheons. So, if you have a Crane widespread lavatory, and it has a square top on the stem, you’ll need to pull the stem out and compare it against this picture and #86-121HC. If it does not match this picture, you’ll need the #86-121HC.
The bibb washer for the original Crane stems is #65-A323.
Ceramic cross handles for this stem are #86-090H and #86-230C.
