1944 vintage Crane Undermount sink, intended for kitchens. This sink does have a factory flaw in one side, there’s an expansion crack that’s been glazed over. As most factories were running wide open during WW2, this isn’t terribly surprising. In fact, we were a bit surprised by the date of 1944 as we were under the impression that Crane was busy building large valves for ships during that time period.
The sink measures 20″ by 17 3/4″ on the outside, 17″ by 15″ on the inside, and the depth is 6 1/4″. Drain opening is a rather strange 2 3/8″ in diameter. One only!
