Here’s a rare one! Crane date codes are a bit tricky to decode. Usually, they are month, last two digits of the year, and the mold number. This one’s marked “4 22 25”. If I stick with the normal way of reading the code, that means this sink is a 1922. If Crane reversed the year and mold number (which they occasionally did), then it’s a 1925. Either way, this is a cool sink. The top is in excellent condition, with only a couple of factory “blackspots”. The pedestal does have a few chips along the bottom edge, they will be repaired. One thing, while this pedestal is the correct size and shape, we don’t think it’s a Crane product. There’re no markings on it which would be highly unusual for Crane, and the color is slightly off.
The original Crane faucet has been fully restored in the period correct polished nickel. See photo of restored faucet in the photo gallery. Sink measures 27″ wide, 22″ front to back, and stands 31 1/2″ tall. Way too big and heavy for UPS, this one’s Truck freight only. Call or e-mail for a freight quote today.
