Description
This is a fully restored Crane Nova sink that dates back to 1920. It came into our shop missing all the trim and valves, but we were able to come up with all the parts. We then replated all the exposed metal in the period-correct polished nickel and installed new stems and seats in a set of original valves. This sink is an integral spout model, so the water will come out under that protrusion at the back of the basin. This sink is a large one, it’s 30 1/2″ wide by 24 1/2″ front to back, and it stands 31″ tall. As for condition, there are three small chips in the basin and some scuffs, a small old crack at the drain, and a bit of iron staining on the deck. Cracks at the drain are a very common occurrence with Crane sinks, so much so that we no longer worry about them. Considering the sink is 103 years old, the flaws are minor.
