Restored (or New Old-Stock) Toilet Seats

Restored Quartersawn Oak “Pear shaped” seat
This is one rare toilet seat.  The hinge was originally chrome, so we had it replated in chrome again.  This seat was designed to fit round front toilet bowls with the distinctive taper to the front.  This seat measures 18 3/4” from end of seat to centerline of hinge, and is 15 3/4” wide.  We feel this seat dates to the mid 1920’s.  One only, grab it quick!

olsonite 40

Olsonite 40 Round Front Bone toilet seat
New-old stock, one left.  Note, color is bone, NOT white.  Discontinued by Olsonite.  All plastic construction.

Sperzel Seat for Case 4100 Toilets
New Old stock, dates to the mid 1980’s, but made to fit the 1950’s vintage Case 4100 elongated toilets.  This is the seat that fits those odd 7” center, bolt through the tank toilets.  White composite, stainless hinge, very heavily made, two available.  There are a few scuffs on them from being in a box for the last 25 years, but they are not made anymore.

Circa 1950 “Sperzel” brand toilet seat
Here’s one unique seat!  It fits a normal round front toilet bowl.  We’re not sure if it was intended for nautical applications, but it may have been.  Seat is made of a white composite material, and the “U” shaped bar is powdercoated steel.  This will fit on your “normal” 5 1/2” toilet hinge bolt centers.  Seat does show some scuffs, but wasn’t nearly bad enough to warrant restoration.

Circa 1958 “Sperzel” brand toilet seat
This seat appears to have not ever been installed.  It’s still nice and glossy, with no apparent wear.  It’s for round front applications, and we suspect it was made for Crane, as it features the raised section in the middle of the lid, and that was a design feature Crane often used in their products.  The material used in the making of this seat is a black composite.  One only!
