Original Shower Heads

An Original Showerhead can be the finishing touch that sets a period bath restoration apart from the ordinary.  These are  NOT water-saving heads, so you may not be able to use them in restorations that are subject to inspection. Original Showerheads are fully water tested and guaranteed for one year from date of purchase unless otherwise noted.

1910-ish Speakman Brass/Ceramic Showerhead
The brass on this monster has been polished and coated.  The head is 8” in diameter, and will extend another 8” away from the 1/2” pipe mount.  There is a ball swivel, but I’d use a vertical mount, or at least schedule 40 pipe to support it.  Do not attach this beast to a hardware store variety shower arm!  This one’s sure not to last long!

Crane Bodyspray Head
One left!  1/2” IPS inlet, original chrome plating.  This was originally used in your “upper-end” shower installation where there was a separate valve for the “body spray”.  This probably dates to the 1930’s.  Note, there are some wrench marks on the wall plate.

Vertical-Mount Showerhead
This is the head from a Ribcage shower.  3/4” pipe inlet, and fully replated in Polished Nickel.  Watertight, vent still functions, but does have a dent on the top (as seen in pic)  8” across, 4” tall.  Intended for vertical mount, does not swivel.  Definitely not a water-saving showerhead!
OSH08302 SOLD

Vertical Mount Showerhead
Another Ribcage showerhead, this one will need 3/8 pipe.  Early brass tends to split, this one has, but it’s not into the actual head part.  The largest split is visible in the picture at left, at the very bottom of the head.  Measures 7 1/2” across, and is 3” tall.

“Goetz” Nickel Showerhead
1/2” pipe, original nickel plating has been polished, but does have fine scratches.  It is, after all, probably over 80 years old.  4” in diameter, still has the retainer for a long gone ceramic escutcheon
OSH111202 Goetz head SOLD

Restored Nickel and Ceramic Showerhead
This head will screw onto a “normal” 1/2” pipe shower arm.  The metal has been replated in polished nickel.  The ceramic portion has no chips or cracks, but does have slight discoloration on one side.  (the white square on the face is a price tag)  Ready to install!
