1950’s- 1960’s Briggs Shelf and Slant back Faucet stems
This is the most common Briggs stem used in their shelf and Slantback faucets from the mid-20th century.  These were found with either chrome Cross or chrome Lever handles, only the lever is being reproduced.  These stems are just over 2 3/8” long, and have 18 splines on the end of the stem.  If you have cross handles, the faucet will take two of the hot stems, if you have the above levers, you’ll need one each of the hot and cold stems.  We highly recommend changing the seats as well.

Briggs Tub Shower Rebuild Kits

Briggs Shower only rebuild kit
The Art Deco styling of this trim dates this set to the 1950’s and early 1960’s.  It’s very similar to the Standard brand but is NOT interchangeable, so be sure to compare your stems against these.  Normally this would have been an 8” center valve, early versions would have had a Black plastic button in the center of the handle that had either “H” or “C” on it.  These replacement handles are all chrome.

Briggs Tub Shower rebuild kit
Here we have the three handle version of the above 1950’s Briggs tub shower valve.  Again, these are commonly confused with the Standard brand version and are NOT interchangeable, so BE SURE to compare your parts against the photo at right.  Originally, this set would have had handles with black index caps.  8” centers.
