A note on Cascade Flush Valves
Yes, the original
flush valves for the Ifo Cascade have been discontinued, and one of the parts we used for the “Mansfield conversion Flush valve” has also been discontinued by
If the “bridge” (40-96304) on your Ifo Cascade is still intact, one can purchase the following parts and assemble a “Mansfield
Conversion”. You would need 1 each of the 40-BSE, 40-CLIP, 40-CHAIN, and a 40-211C Mansfield flush valve. Remove the lift rod from the old flush valve, and
CAREFULLY remove the old Bridge. The 40-CLIP will insert into the bottom of the Bridge and act as a guide for the 40-BSE screw eye. Attach the 40-CHAIN to the
screw eye loop and then attach the other end to the loop cast into the side of the Mansfield valve. Reattach the lift rod onto the threaded end sticking out of the guide
in the bridge.
To install this valve, one must remove the tank. Replacing the tank to bowl bolts (40-99643) during this procedure is highly recommended.
If you have a 12” rough Ifo Cascade, you may want to consider replacement. If you have one of the more common 4” rough versions, see below!
