Crane Diverter Tub Spout
So, you have a Crane tub spout that looks like the top one in the picture, and it’s leaking.  Your plumber removed the original, and discovered a large thread almost 2” across.  The, you are told that the tile has to go, as spouts like that aren’t made.  Not anymore!
Here at Bathroom Machineries, we came up with an adapter plate that will screw directly onto the old Crane thread, and will adapt that to a modern 1/2” copper compression spout.  The lower spout in the picture is our finished product, and it works great!
We’re selling these two different ways, just the adapter by itself, and complete.

The picture at right shows the adapter by itself.  The beauty of this design is this; using a strap wrench, you tighten the adapter onto the existing Crane thread.  It’ll seal against a rubber washer inside the adapter.  Then, once the adapter is tight, you simply slip the spout on and tighten it’s set screw down.  No more worries about lining the spout up correctly!  If you choose to buy just the adapter without the spout, remember that whatever spout you choose to install, it MUST be the 1/2” copper compression type.  Threaded ones will not work.

Tub Spout for Dial-Ese 4” Center Valves w/ Metal Plate
Note!  your spout must look exactly like the original spout pictured at right.  There are other spouts that look similar out there, they will not match this one.  We can custom make a replacement spout, call or e-mail for details.
Yes!  With a bit of creative machine work, we’ve come up with a way to replace the old Crane spouts like the one at right.  If you have a Crane tub/shower valve with the faucet centers at 4”, the spout nipple measures 1 1/4” across the end,  and there’s a metal plate behind the handles and spout, this is your spout.  These valves were being installed in the 1950’s and 1960’s, so be sure your application meets all the above criteria.  Spout will not be of same appearance, but will fit in application.  Chrome only.

Crane Tub Waste and Overflow Cover Plate
The 1 5/8” bolt hole spacing make this plate unique.  Chrome over Zinc, just like the originals.  Outside diameter is 3 1/4”, accepts the oddball “flip-arm” used by Crane from the 1950’s up to the 1970’s.  Please note, you’ll have to save the old lever mechanism from the old plate.  The shaft portion is not made anymore.

If you destroy the old lever removing it from the old plate, here’s the replacement.  Chrome over zinc, measures 1 3/4” long.  Be sure to salvage the shaft this goes on, replacements do not exist.....

Replacement Crane Drain Assembly
Hard-to-find drain will fit most Crane sinks that have the  internal fork in the overflow chamber. Due to their unique drain lifting mechanism, the only thing that will fit Crane sinks is one specifically designed for a Crane fixture.  This OEM replacement has been machined from an original for an exact fit.  Fork not included.  Includes 4" x 1 1/2" tail piece.

Crane Drain Nut/Tailpiece Adapter
We got tired of finding nice Crane sinks missing the nut on the bottom of the sink so we decided to make them.   This is the nut that both retains the drain and also converts the drain to the fine 1 1/2” tailpiece thread. (our part # 81-371)  We highly recommend using our tailpieces, either the 90-F25 below, or the 81-371.  Supplied with washer, and comes in both polished nickel for exposed plumbing and raw brass for hidden applications.  Note, nut is not compatible with the above 24-CD replacement Crane drain.  US Made.

Reducing Tailpiece for Crane Bathroom Sinks
Crane used an oddball tailpiece on many of their wall-hung and pedestal sinks.  It’s actually a reducing tailpiece, necking the 1 1/2’ fine thread outlet down to 1 1/4”.  This part was commonly used from 1915 or so until the early 1970’s.  It mates to the above 86-630 nut.  Measures 7 3/4” long, 17 gauge.
Note; does not fit 4” center slantback or deckmount lavatory sinks.

Crane Close-Coupled Toilet Flapper
Hard to find these days, these flappers were found in many toilets Crane made in the ‘60’s and early ‘70’s.  After Crane was bought out, production ceased and aftermarket suppliers started reproducing them.  Over time, production slowed, and it became hard to find again.  Distinguished by the method of mounting, they are once again available.  Flapper is retained to the flush valve by the elongated hole in the end.  Definitely not your “standard” flapper.
